Malcolm McLarty graduated MB in Public Health from the University of Edinburgh in 1895. He worked as a physician in Edinburgh and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1912, being elected a Fellow in 1918.

Frederick Dittmar graduated MD from the University of Glasgow in 1896. After postgraduate study in Vienna, he worked as Medical Officer of Health in Scarborough, Assistant Medical Officer at HM Prison Glasgow, and Medical Officer to the Local Government Board, later becoming Medical Inspector for the Scottish Department of Health. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1914 and was elected a Fellow in 1918. He authored 'Report on Meat Inspection' (1907) and 'Incidence of Enteric Fever in Scottish Burghs over 20,000 Inhabitants' (1911). He died in 1934.

George Scott Carmichael was born in 1875. He graduated MD from the University of Edinburgh in 1904 and worked as House Physician at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and Resident Physician at Edinburgh City Fever Hospital. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1911 and was elected a Fellow in 1918. He later ran a general practice in Morningside and died in Edinburgh in 1925.

David Arthur Welsh was born in Montrose in 1865. He graduated MD with Gold Medal from the University of Edinburgh in 1897. In 1901 he was appointed Foundation Professor of Pathology at the University of Sydney and served as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine from 1925 to 1929. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1911 and held posts as Honorary Pathologist and later Honorary Consultant Pathologist at Prince Alfred Hospital. He died in Sydney in 1948.

George Herbert Rae Gibson was born in Edinburgh in 1881, the son of Dr George Alexander Gibson. He served in the South African War and graduated MD from the University of Edinburgh in 1910, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1911. After postgraduate study in North America he practised in Calgary and Vancouver. During the First World War he served in the Canadian Army. He later became Commissioner of Medical Services to the Scottish Region of the Ministry of Pensions, Deputy Commissioner of the Board of Control for Scotland, and Secretary and Registrar of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He died in Edinburgh in 1932.

George Rutherford Jeffrey graduated MD from the University of Glasgow in 1909 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1911. He worked at the Crichton Royal Institution, Dumfries, Ayr District Asylum, West Glasgow Infirmary, and Edinburgh Royal Asylum before moving to York as Medical Officer at Bootham Park Hospital. His publications include 'Case of Acute Haemorrhagic Pancreatitis' (1906), 'Cause of Neuropathic States' (1910), and 'Mechanism of Mental Processes with Special Reference to Emotional Control' (1911).

John McGibbon was born in Edinburgh in 1876. He graduated MB from the University of Edinburgh in 1898 and served as House Surgeon at the Royal Maternity Hospital, Edinburgh. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1912. He became Chair of Obstetrics at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1922 and later Chair of Midwifery at the University of St Andrews and Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Dundee Royal Infirmary. He was a founding Fellow of the British College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1929. He died in Crieff in 1949.

George Douglas Mathewson was born in Dunfermline in 1881, the son of James Mathewson. He graduated MB from the University of Edinburgh in 1905 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1912. He worked at the Royal Infirmary and Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh, undertook postgraduate study in continental Europe, and during the First World War organised and directed a cardiology centre in Greece. He died in Edinburgh in 1935.

Hugh Angus Stewart graduated MD from the University of Edinburgh in 1904. After serving as Resident Physician in 1905 to the wards under the charge of Dr Gibson at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, he proceeded to the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he became attached to the clinic of Professor Thayer, and subsequently to Columbia University serving as Adjunct Professor of Pathology. Stewart died suddenly in 1913.

Thomas Goodall Nasmyth was born in Auchterderran, Fife, in 1856, the son of James A Nasmyth, owner of the Fife Coal Company. He graduated MD from the University of Edinburgh in 1889, having completed a Diploma in Public Health at Cambridge in 1886. He became the first Medical Officer of Health for Fife and was based in Cupar. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1913. He identified an early link between bovine tuberculosis and human disease in his paper 'Milk-borne Diseases' (1889). He also served as Director of the Fife Coal Company, Director of the Commercial Bank of Scotland, Director of the Scottish National Housing Company, and as a representative for Edinburgh Town Council between 1921 and 1929. He died in Edinburgh in 1937.
