Consultants are invited to apply to become Fellows of the College
The College is proud to recognise leadership and excellence in medicine through Fellowship. Awarded to consultants and physicians of equivalent standing who have made a significant contribution to clinical practice and the profession, Fellowship acknowledges your achievements while connecting you to a global community of peers. As a Fellow, you'll have opportunities to contribute to medical education, help shape professional standards, influence policy and support the future of medicine.

Recently Appointed Consultants (RAC) Committee
Newly appointed consultants within the last ten years are represented by our RAC committee and have access to resources created by our committee of consultants. This includes our podcast dedicated to consultants which covers scenarios, experiences, and knowledge relevant to consultants.
If you are a consultant based in the UK, you can apply to join RAC and represent Fellows of RCPE.

Be the voice of consultants
By becoming a Fellow with RCPE, you have the assurance that your experience as a consultant is valued. We consult our fellows when developing our education programme, influencing policy and during Presidential overseas visits.
- Contribute to consultations on a range of health policy and clinical matters
- Voice and influence via Federation, Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and MRCP(UK)
- Representation through the College with UK Government, Scottish Government, NICE, NHS and other organisations, with the opportunity to contribute to surveys and policy papers on topical issues
Celebrating New Fellows
We are proud to welcome new fellows from around the world every year. The College's invites new fellows to a celebratory ceremony and dinner where they can bring their loved ones, network with other fellows and be presented with a certificate of their achievement.
