Candidates passing MRCP(UK) are invited and encouraged to attend a Diploma Ceremony in the College. The ceremonies are family events and are conducted in the Physicians' International Conference Centre followed by a delicious hot, sit down buffet dinner in our Great Hall and New Library. Our photographer will be available to take family photographs and there will be guided tours of the historical rooms and presentations on some of the College treasures from our Heritage team.

Forthcoming dates

Diploma ceremonies are always one of the highlights in the college calendar. They are a chance to welcome you and your guests to the college. We understand the significance of coming together to celebrate with family and friends to receive your diploma after the hard work, commitment and dedication that you have put into getting to this stage in your career.

We are very sad, that memories of the diploma ceremony day celebrations have been delayed due to the ongoing global pandemic and restrictions on public gatherings. Our duty of care to our diploma diplomates, their families, friends and our staff is paramount. However, we are pleased to update that the college is now  busy working on plans to allow for the safe restarting our diploma ceremony celebrations on a small scale in the autumn of 2021, subject of course to Covid-19 restrictions at that time.

Diploma Ceremony Dates:

Friday 22nd April 2022 - Booking will open in 2022

Friday 16th September 2022

Friday 9th December 2022

PLEASE NOTE: All updates on Diploma ceremonies will be posted here in due course as soon as we are in a position to confirm. All Diploma Ceremony events are subject to change adhering to the latest Scottish Government guidance and advice surrounding COVID-19 at the time of the ceremony.
