In the final webinar of the series, our speakers will talk about the importance of One Health on the global stage. We will discuss antimicrobial resistance worldwide, and the disproportionate impact of antimicrobial resistance in low-and-middle income countries. Our expert speakers will share their shared experience of tackling One Health issues whilst working in a variety of different fields.

The ‘One Health’ approach is based on the understanding that the health of humans, animals, plants and the environment are closely linked and interconnected. It is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary process, with the aim of achieving optimal health outcomes at a local, national and global level. This ‘One Health’ strategy is of paramount importance in the prevention and response to pandemics and other threats to health, as demonstrated by the recent COVID-19 pandemic.

In this series we will introduce viewers to the concept of ‘One Health’ through tailored 120 minute webinars led by speakers from the relevant sectors. Each webinar will consist of 3 talks, illustrated by cases, exploring the relationship between people, animals and ecosystems. The talks will be followed by an online expert panel discussion, with questions welcomed from online attendees.
