In this webinar we will explore the impact of environmental factors and climate change on health. Our speakers will discuss air and water pollution, and their impact on health and the environment, as well as the growing impact of climate change on the global spread of disease.

The ‘One Health’ approach is based on the understanding that the health of humans, animals, plants and the environment are closely linked and interconnected. It is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary process, with the aim of achieving optimal health outcomes at a local, national and global level. This ‘One Health’ strategy is of paramount importance in the prevention and response to pandemics and other threats to health, as demonstrated by the recent COVID-19 pandemic.

In this series we will introduce viewers to the concept of ‘One Health’ through tailored 120 minute webinars led by speakers from the relevant sectors. Each webinar will consist of 3 talks, illustrated by cases, exploring the relationship between people, animals and ecosystems. The talks will be followed by an online expert panel discussion, with questions welcomed from online attendees.
