Northeast England & Yorkshire invite you to their joint symposium taking place in Newcastle. The symposium will cover a range of medical topics aimed at supporting you with challenging issues that can arise for acute and general physicians. Based on feedback from last year, presentations will cover the following topics:

  • Rashes in the emergency assessment unit
  • Alcohol related liver disease
  • Thrombocytopenia and thrombosis
  • Pleural effusions and chest drain conundrums
  • Hypoglycaemia
  • Falls on the acute take
  • Common Mental Disorders in the Acute General Hospital
  • Functional neurology
  • Deteriorating renal patients
  • Chest pain

The symposium is aimed at students, doctors in training and physicians who encounter general and / or acute medicine in their practice. We hope the day will support you in the management of your future patients, as well as providing some inspiration about doing medicine differently. We look forward to welcoming you.

If you have to cancel your place within 7 days of this event, we regret that we are unable to provide a refund.

The event will be available to view on-demand for 28 days after the live event, therefore, there is still an opportunity to view the talks if you are not able to attend on the day.

Certificates

All relevant events are approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To receive a CPD certificate delegates must have completed the online feedback survey. The survey will close 28 days after the event, with certificates being issued shortly after this.

Certificates cannot be issued after the survey has closed.
