College Council Elections 2025: Nominations Are Now Open

Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh Elections 2025

Nominations have now opened for the election of the following Senior Office Bearers and Members of Council: 

President

Vice-President (Scotland and Northern Ireland)

Council members:

Constituency A (Lothian, Fife and the Borders)

Constituency D (Northern Scotland)

Constituency E (North of England)

Constituency F (West of England)

Constituency I (Northern Ireland)

Constituency J (Recently Appointed Consultants - 2 seats)

Nominations close on Tuesday 26th August 2025, and Fellows can find more details of the elections and nomination forms in the members’ area of the website. 

The poll will take place this autumn, with the results announced at the Annual General Meeting in November 2025.

The President holds office for 3 years starting on the 1st of March after the Annual General Meeting, at which their election is announced.

The elected Vice-Presidents and Members of Council are expected to serve for two consecutive terms (six years) following the Annual Meeting, to ensure continuity of experience.
