Subspecialty care in Pakistan is rapidly evolving, moving from general practice to specialized fields.
The International Medical Update serves to discuss various important issues witnessed not only locally but internationally, thus for all to benefit from this update.
Topics will cover:
- Autonomic Cephalgia’s: To define group of primary headache disorders based on salient features and addressing diagnostic challenges. Identification of secondary causes of headaches and its treatment strategies.
- Novel Oncologic therapies - In our setting, a LMIC Cancer care is tailored to resource and logistical limitations, relying more on cost-effective strategies. These pragmatic adaptations, supported by emerging local data, help balance evidence-based treatment with accessibility in high-volume care settings.
- MASLD - Metabolic dysfunction associated with steatotic liver disease prevalence is increasing worldwide. Early recognition is key at later course of disease. Screening for genetic causes and risk factors is imperative. To discuss screening protocols and effectiveness of drugs available.
- Physician Burnout – An overview of physician burnout, focusing on its prevalence, clinical recognition in self and colleagues, and practical, evidence-based strategies for prevention, support and sustainable professional wellbeing.
This update will not only update your knowledge improving clinical practice but give insight into clinical practice in Pakistan which is at standards with the rest of the world.

The event will be available to view on-demand for 28 days after the live event, therefore, there is still an opportunity to view the talks if you are not able to attend on the day.

Certificates
All relevant events are approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To receive a CPD certificate delegates must have completed the online feedback survey. The survey will close 28 days after the original broadcast of the event on the 20 May 2026 with certificates being issued shortly after this.
Certificates cannot be issued after the survey has closed.
Catch-up
Registered delegates can view this event on catch-up for up to 28 days following the live event until, i.e. until 20 May 2026. Please note that in line with Federation rules, the CPD period is 28 days from the live event. To obtain a CPD certificate you must have completed the online feedback survey by 20 May 2026
If you are unable to attend this event live but would like to view this event for 28 days post-event and qualify for a CPD certificate (if feedback is completed), please register before the live event is due to take place in order to be given access.
