Voluntary Opportunity: Investment Committee Members (x2)

The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint two new volunteer members to its Investment Committee.

Chaired by the College Treasurer, the Committee provides oversight and governance of the College’s professionally managed investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with long‑term objectives, risk appetite, and financial sustainability. 

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:
• Investment management, financial markets, or asset allocation.
• Endowment, pension fund, or charitable investment oversight.
• Financial governance, audit, or risk management.

The role involves:
• Providing independent scrutiny of investment performance.
• Monitoring external investment managers and advisers.
• Supporting the Treasurer through constructive challenge and advice.
• Contributing to strategy, governance, and risk oversight.

Commitment
• Quarterly meetings (with preparation in advance).
• Occasional input between meetings as required.
• Voluntary (unpaid) role.
