Train or Tram

Waverley Train Station is the closest train station, located less than half a mile from the College.  

The nearest tram stop is located at St Andrews Square, providing frequent connections from the city centre to Edinburgh Airport in around 40 minutes. Trams depart frequently through the day from early morning into late evening.


Metered on-street parking is available at the College’s Queen Street entrance and in surrounding streets at the cost of £5.60 per hour with a maximum stay of three hours between 08:30-17:30.

A Qpark multi-story car park is located behind the Omni Centre.

  • Entry from 00:00 to 06:59 £2.50/hour
  • Entry from 07:00 to 18:59 £3.10/hour
  • Entry from 18:00 to 23:59 £2.80/hour
  • Maximum rate for any 24 hour period £24.00

This is approximately a 10 minute walk from the College.

The College has clear access directly outside our main entrance, allowing for easy drop-off and collection by car or taxi. There are multiple taxi ranks situated within proximity to the College. However, our reception team is more than happy to help you book transport.


There are several local buses stops located near the College.

Physicians’ Gallery Opening Times

The College’s exhibition space, the Physicians’ Gallery is open to the public from Monday-Friday. Our opening hours are 10.00am to 4.30pm on these days. Entry is free and we occasionally hold late night openings. Please note, the Physicians’ Gallery is closed on public holidays.
