Thar Htet Aung

I graduated from the University of Medicine, Mandalay, Myanmar (Burma) in 2020. I am currently working as a private practitioner at a local clinic in a rural town in Myanmar and volunteering as a team leader in a nearby charity clinic.

Having completed my first year of MSc Internal Medicine Programme at the University of Edinburgh, I have acquired substantial knowledge through excellent learning environments, and I have had the pleasure of meeting many exceptional peers. It has been truly rewarding to be able to apply the knowledge gained from the programme to my everyday clinical practice.

I was also awarded Internal Medicine Programme scholarship for 2024-2025 academic session by the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.

Once Myanmar regains its democratic government in near future and I have successfully completed this outstanding programme, I will fulfil my aspiration of becoming a dependable physician and lecturer at a government hospital.

I am deeply grateful to the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh for awarding me this scholarship and supporting my pursuit of this dream.
