PACES Preparatory Course in Edinburgh (January and September)

Organised jointly by the College and NHS Lothian, we have structured this 3-day revision course so that much of the learning will take place in small groups of 4 or fewer, with teaching delivered by trained faculty, many of whom have previous examining experience. Patients, surrogates and the setting for the course are all up to the standard expected in the PACES exam itself.

See our Events Calendar for more information.

International PACES Courses

We are involved in delivering PACES preparation courses overseas in the following locations:

  • Myanmar - together with the Royal College of Physicians, London and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2x per year),
  • Saudi Arabia – we have delivered training on PACES stations 2 and 4 by video link for a local course.  There are no immediate plans to repeat this but check back here for updates,
  • India – Our International Director, Professor Sunil Bhandari is organising a PACES preparation course which will be held in Kolkata for the first time later in 2017.
    • A PACES preparation course is being held in Kottakkal, Kerala, India in February 2018. Please note that this is not a College event.
