Overview
Join us for our exciting half day online course on Precision Care for Dementia. This will provide a practical and clinically focused update for physicians managing one of the most complex and growing challenges in modern healthcare. Covering the full patient journey—from diagnosis to acute care and treatment decisions—the programme brings together leading experts to explore advances in diagnostic techniques, including imaging and biomarkers, alongside real-world case discussions that translate theory into practice. With dedicated sessions on matching patients to emerging therapies, recognising and managing delirium, and addressing psychological distress, this event equips clinicians with the knowledge and confidence to deliver more personalised, effective, and compassionate care for people living with dementia.
Learning outcomes
- Apply evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis of dementia, including the use of clinical assessment, imaging, and biomarker investigations to differentiate subtypes.
- Evaluate current and emerging treatment options and select appropriate therapies based on individual patient characteristics and disease stage.
- Recognise and manage common acute and complex presentations in dementia, including delirium and behavioural or psychological symptoms, using safe and holistic care strategies
Who is this for?
This course is suitable for medical trainees and clinicians working in general medicine, neurology, medicine of the older adult, or acute care, as well as nurses, allied health professionals and medical students who wish to increase their knowledge and skills, in relation to dementia.
