11am - 2pm
Physicians’ Gallery, No.11 Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1JQ
Free
Free drop-in activity day at the Physicians’ Gallery with Ruth Morgan, veterinary surgeon.
What does a pig have for breakfast? What does a llama have for tea?
Come and learn about what different animals eat, what they can’t eat and how food keeps animals healthy. Explore the fascinating shapes and sizes of animal teeth and discover what they’re built to eat. Hear how different stomachs sound as they digest food and examine animal poo to uncover clues about diet and health.
Ruth Morgan FRCVS is a veterinary surgeon and a senior lecturer in Veterinary and Animal Sciences at SRUC where she specialises in comparative endocrinology.
All ages welcome
As well as the drop-in activity, the Physicians’ Gallery has a children’s medical library, colouring-in, worksheets and a dressing-up station available every day.
Drop-in activity running from 11am to 2pm
