I completed my medical degree and intercalated BSc at Imperial College London in 2020, followed by foundation training in the East of England. I then spent a year as a clinical fellow in Shetland, gaining further experience that fuelled my decision to specialise in emergency medicine.
I completed my medical degree and intercalated BSc at Imperial College London in 2020, followed by foundation training in the East of England. I then spent a year as a clinical fellow in Shetland, gaining further experience that fuelled my decision to specialise in emergency medicine. In 2023 I started my speciality training in North Wales, with the intention to pursue dual specialisation in emergency medicine and critical care. My favourite aspects of critical care are the constant application of physiology to systematically assessing and optimising each organ system in unwell patients, and the hugely broad range of practical skills that the speciality encompasses. The MSc in Critical Care seemed the ideal way to develop my learning and academic interests in a field that I am passionate about, whilst continuing my clinical work and training. I’m extremely grateful to have been awarded the RCPE scholarship in order to achieve this and support my future career going forward.
