Recent years have seen a number of threats to global health, with climate change, international conflict, mass human displacement, pandemic and economic crisis resulting in disruption to healthcare delivery and perpetuation of health inequality, as well as spread of both communicable and non-communicable disease. Antimicrobial resistance remains a critical threat to public health and development worldwide.
In this symposium, our world-renowned speakers will explore the following:
Attendees will be taken on an interactive global ward round by experts in their field, with cases from South America, Africa and South-East Asia. Finally, our speakers will cover methods to address inequalities in healthcare provision through challenging socio-economic and language barriers to care delivery.
This thought-provoking and topical symposium will be of interest to clinicians and allied health professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and levels of seniority, but may be of particular interest to those working in Infectious Diseases & Microbiology, Tropical Medicine, Global Health and Public Health settings.

Dr Naomi Bulteel – Chair
