RCPE Deputy Dean of Education (Symposia) The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh is committed to delivering lifelong learning for a sustainable health system through offering its Fellows and Members and the wider health and healthcare communities exceptional educational experiences appropriate for every career stage.

The College seeks to appoint a new Deputy Dean of Education (Symposia) to support the Dean of Education and the delivery of Education over the next 3 years. 

With a knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for medical education the Deputy Dean of Education (Symposia) will be responsible for delivering educational events to over 21,000 delegates annually and managing the quality of curricula for all core RCPE specialty symposia, including our flagship event the two-day St Andrews Day Symposium, alongside being responsible for our UK academic conferences, and CPD accredited programmes. While also working with other Office Bearers on developing sector leading learning and development initiatives focussed around some of our core themes, such as: Lifelong Learning, Remote & Rural, Global Healthcare Policy, Planetary Health and Digital Health. 

This role has key responsibilities including chairing the College Symposium Committee, development and quality assurance of education events, and supporting the Dean of Education. Please see job description for full details.

The term of office for this post is 3 years subject to satisfactory annual appraisal. The post is honorary and reasonable expenses for travel and subsistence will be payable, in line with College policies.
