Vacancy with:
Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

Full-time (35 hours per week), permanent post.

Salary £23,066

With a worldwide reputation for educational excellence the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh exists to promote the highest standards of patient care. One of the ways we do this is by our programme of education to support fully trained doctors and doctors in training who are pursuing a career in specialist internal medicine. A vacancy has arisen for an exceptional candidate to join the RCPE Education team, in a role that supports the delivery of exciting developments in the College’s education strategy.

We welcome applications from cheerful, capable, well-rounded individuals.  You will be given clear direction in this role but will be happy to turn your hand to a wide variety of projects, and to work under your own steam to deliver results. A personable communicator, this post offers you the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience that will be valuable throughout your career. Good IT, social media, and investigative/research skills will be required, as you help us to develop and promote our education programme in ways that engage and meet the needs of physicians, and ultimately, patients. The successful candidate will support projects relating to communications, data analysis, and education.

The College is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with plenty of initiative and a positive attitude. If you don’t already have all the skills you need for each project, you won’t be fazed but will have the confidence to acquire them. Excellent organisation skills are essential as you’ll need the ability to keep track of where you’re up to with multiple projects.

This is a full-time, permanent post.  Hours of work are 35 per week, normally 9 am until 5 pm with an hour for lunch, Monday to Friday inclusive.  There are occasions when it may be necessary to work outside normal office hours. A system of TOIL is in place to accommodate this.
