Following Dr Nicki Colledge’s term as Director of Education and Training, we have split the role into two roles of Director of Training and Director of Education.  Close collaboration between the two Directors is anticipated to ensure that the College’s educational programme continues to match national training needs.

The Director of Training’s main focus is representing RCPE on the Joint Royal Colleges Postgraduate Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB) and associated workstreams.  Recent work has included the production of the CMT Quality Criteria and the statement on improving the role of the Medical Registrar, as well as on-going input into Shape of Training discussions.

The successful candidate will need to have political awareness and a solution-focussed approach.

The post-holder will be appointed for a three-year period.
