This talk explores historical medicinal uses of plants and Scotland’s central role in the development of physic gardens and medical innovation. It uncovers the unique collection of botanical books which the College’s holds. It also explores Scotland, and particularly Edinburgh’s, botanical history and the research, development and discoveries of the medicinal uses of plants which took place there.
