Mentor training workshops
We run workshops for small groups of established Fellows of the RCPE who will
be taking part in our mentoring scheme for recently appointed consultants.
Dates for 2015–2016 are:

Training days
The SE Scotland Region of the Scottish Deanery holds CMT and GIM training days
at the College, supported by our education team. We’re always glad to welcome
trainees into the College and we’re working on making content from the days
available online – see our website for details in 2016.
Prizes, Awards & Fellowships
Chiron Medal
Recognising excellence in teaching and training by a physician in the UK, the
Chiron Medal is awarded annually and the closing date is in August. The winner
will receive a medal and the opportunity to contribute an article to the
JRCPE
or
present at a relevant symposium.
John Munro Medal
For excellence in teachingby a trainee or SAS doctor, this is a newaward introduced
this year in memory of the late John Munro. It complements the Chiron Medal and
is for trainees and SAS doctors. The Munro Medal is awarded annually and the
closing date is in August. The winner will receive a medal and £500 cash.
RCPE/Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Travelling Fellowships
To support a doctor in undertaking a short study tour or visit (typically 4–8
weeks) to a centre(s) of excellence or innovation to develop their own thinking
and enhance effectiveness when back in the UK. The travelling fellowship is
awarded annually and the closing date is in September.

Organised by our Senior Fellows Club, and open to all Fellows and Members,
the 2015–2016 programme includes lectures, exhibitions and outings. For more
