Our school lecture series provides encouragement and information for young people interested in a career in medicine. Each of the three lectures focuses on the process of preparing for application to medical school, examining relevant topics and ethical dilemmas of medicine, and highlighting various medical specialties.
Our first lecture focused on the theme of “Becoming a Doctor”. We heard from medical school admissions staff, practicing physicians, and recently graduated medical students as they detailed the realities of applying, planning, and preparing for life as a medical student.
