The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh is delighted to offer a series of boxes packed with objects and activities that relate to the medical history of Scotland.

These boxes include historical objects and archives that are safe and easy to handle in a classroom setting. Every box includes everything teachers and students need to learn about specific parts of medical history including epidemics, public health and hygiene, quacks, medical inventions, and medicinal plants.

The boxes are available for P6, P7 and secondary teachers for loan and share with fellow teachers at their school. Every school in Scotland is invited to loan our lending kit, but it must be picked up and returned to the Royal College of Physicians located in New Town Edinburgh within the loan period.

We welcome all schools to email museum@rcpe.ac.uk for more information or to book a box.

Boxes are cleaned between loans to ensure they are COVID safe.
