William Wynne

William Wynne served in the Royal Army Medical Corps as an assistant surgeon staff officer from 1800 and was promoted to surgeon staff in Portugal in 1809. He attained permanent rank in 1814 and was placed on half pay in 1816, after which he obtained his MD from the University of St Andrews on 7 September 1816. He was admitted a Licentiate of the College on 6 May 1817 and elected a Fellow on 5 August 1817. Wynne was promoted to Deputy Inspector of Hospitals on 30 April 1818 and died in Lisbon on 13 November 1821.
