William Wilberforce Dunkley

William Wilberforce Dunkley trained in Liverpool, becoming a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1872. He worked in Coventry and Stoke-on-Trent and served as a Surgeon on the SS Lord Clive. He later became Government Surgeon Superintendent for the New Zealand Government Emigration Service and subsequently held an equivalent post for the Queensland Government. He also served as Surgeon at Waitangi Hospital and Barracks in New Zealand and as Physician to Victoria Hospital, Guernsey. He was active in the St John Ambulance Association as a Lecturer and Surgical Examiner and worked for several assurance companies in the United Kingdom. He died in Cornwall in 1913 aged sixty-five.
