William Robertson

Date of Fellowship admission: 17 July 1923

William Robertson studied at the University of Glasgow, graduating MB CM in 1887 and MD in 1891. He was registered at the Public Health Department, Johnstone Terrace, Edinburgh. He served as Medical Officer of Health in Paisley and later Edinburgh and lectured in public health at the University of Edinburgh. His publications include 'Practical First Aid' (1900), 'Sanitary Law and Practice', and 'Meat and Food Inspection'. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1923.

The main qualification issued by the College, awarded regularly since the College’s foundation. This qualification was granted based on demonstrated breadth of experience and did not require an individual to pass a certain examination.
