William Reid

Date of Fellowship admission: 7/February/1837
William Reid studied at the University of Edinburgh from 1821 to 1823 and became an apprentice at the Royal College of Surgeons in 1822. He graduated MD in 1824, publishing 'Dissertatio medica inauguralis de nupera febris continuae disciplina'. In 1839 he published 'Elements of the Practice of Medicine', intended as a student textbook, and lectured on the principles and practice of medicine.
