William Macpherson Adams

William Macpherson Adams received his medical degree from the University of Giessen on 9 August 1843. He served as assistant surgeon to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, London, demonstrator of morbid anatomy and curator of the museum at St Thomas' Hospital, and was a member of the London Pathological Society. His published work includes papers on patellar fractures and chronic rheumatic arthritis. Adams became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1842 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 5 November 1844.
