William Henry Brace became a Licentiate of the College in 1860 and a Fellow in 1867. He obtained his MD from St Andrews in the same year, having also studied at King's College, London. He was appointed Surgeon to the Royal United Hospital, Bath, and served as Consulting Physician to several institutions in Bath and Somerset, including the Bath Puerperal Charity and the Royal School for Daughters of Officers of the Army, Lansdown.
