William Helps

Date of Fellowship admission: 28/December/1858
William Helps trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, and obtained his MD from St Andrews in 1854. He became a Fellow of the College in 1858. In 1852 he was appointed apothecary at Bethlem Royal Hospital and in 1862 succeeded William Charles Hood as Resident Physician and Superintendent. He died in office in 1865.
