William Glen Liston

Date of Fellowship admission: 17 July 1923

William Glen Liston was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1923. He served as a Lieutenant in the Indian Medical Service circa 1899 and as Medical Officer to the 6th Infantry, Hyderabad Contingent. His publications include 'The Advantages of a Microscopical Examination of the Blood in Cases of Fever in India', Indian Medical Gazette (1899), and 'Plague, Rats, and Fleas', Indian Medical Gazette (1905).

The main qualification issued by the College, awarded regularly since the College’s foundation. This qualification was granted based on demonstrated breadth of experience and did not require an individual to pass a certain examination.
