William Eeles Taylor

William Eeles Taylor received his medical degree from the University of St Andrews on 6 May 1845. He completed further qualifications in London and, in 1842, entered a partnership in Pulborough which continued until his partner's death in 1860. Taylor purchased land and the Old Glebe Schoolhouse in Pulborough with the intention of establishing a cottage hospital for 'ten aged and infirm poor of the district'. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 4 November 1856 and died on 19 March 1882 in Sussex, aged 67.
