William Cochrane

William Cochrane received his medical degree from the University of Rheims on 4 August 1712. He was licensed to practise on 11 January 1715 and admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 2 August that same year. Cochrane was a Member of the Society of Medical Practitioners and served as Treasurer of the College from 6 December 1716. He was also one of ten physicians appointed to a committee for the management of the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
