William Charles Everley Taylor was born in Scarborough in 1854. He became a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1879 and a Member in 1882. He was also a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Licentiate of the Society of Apothecaries of London from 1879, and a Fellow of the Obstetrical Society of London from 1885. He served as Medical Officer of Health to the Scarborough Sanitary Authority and as Surgeon to the Borough Police and Scarborough Hospital. He died in 1936 and was buried in Bath.
