William Bowie

William Bowie was born in 1793 in Demerara, South America. He graduated MD from the University of Edinburgh on 12 September 1812, submitting a dissertation on asthma. Bowie became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1815 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 6 May 1845. He died on 2 July 1864.
