William Beilby

William Beilby was born in Sheffield in 1783. He graduated MD at the University of Edinburgh in 1816 and subsequently established a midwifery practice in the city. Beilby worked at the New Town Dispensary and served as a governor of the Orphan Hospital. He died in Edinburgh in 1849.
