Walter Farquhar

Sir Walter Farquhar, first baronet, received an MA at King's College, Aberdeen, before studying medicine at Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. He then became a military surgeon, stationed in Brittany and Gibraltar, before moving to London in 1769 to undertake practice as an apothecary. Farquhar graduated MD from Aberdeen in 1796 and was appointed personal physician to the Prince of Wales later that year. He died in London in 1813.
