Vishnu Tatyaji Korke

Vishnu Tatyaji Korke was registered to practise at the Central Research Institute, Kasauli, Shimla Hills, India. He became a Licentiate of the Bombay Medical School in 1903 and completed a degree in Tropical Medicine at the University of Liverpool in 1910. While studying in England he served as Assistant Resident Medical Officer at the Barnes Convalescent Hospital, Cheadle. After returning to India he was a member of the Kala-Azar and Helminthological Enquiries, India. His publications include 'Observations on Life History of Hookworm in Nature', Indian Journal of Medical Research (1925), and 'Observations on Filariasis in some Areas of British India', Indian Journal of Medical Research (1928). He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1923.
