Thomas Spens

Thomas Spens, the son of future President of this College Nathaniel Spens, was born in Edinburgh in 1764 and received an MD from the University of Edinburgh in 1784. Elected a Fellow in 1788, he practised with his father and held College offices including Librarian and President (1803-1806). He died in Edinburgh in 1842.
