Thomas John Graham

Thomas John Graham was born in London, probably in 1795. He trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital and in Glasgow, receiving his MD from Glasgow in 1828. He married Susannah Horsman in 1821 and, during the 1830s, moved to Epsom, Surrey, where he established a medical practice. Graham published extensively, including 'The Diseases of Females' and 'A Chemical Catechism'. His most notable work, 'Modern Domestic Medicine' (1826), went through several later editions. He became a Fellow of the College in 1861 and died in Epsom in 1876.
