Thomas Gillespie

Date of Fellowship admission: 7 November 1780
Thomas Gillespie received his medical degree from Marischal College, Aberdeen, and began practice in Ayrshire, where he treated the dying 9th Earl of Cassillis. He later moved to Edinburgh. His son Alexander and grandson James Donaldson were surgeons and both became Presidents of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
