Thomas Garnet Stirling Leary was born in 1879. He graduated MD from the University of Edinburgh in 1904 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in the same year, later being elected a Fellow in 1916. Leary settled in Melbourne, Australia, where he established a successful medical practice. He authored 'Treatment of Stammering' (1911) and 'Treatment of Diphtheria by Massive Doses of Antitoxin' (1912). He died in Australia in 1954.
