Thomas Dalrymple

Thomas Dalrymple was born circa 1663 in Ochiltree, Ayrshire. He was the son of James Dalrymple, 1st Viscount Stair, and Margaret Ross. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 30 July 1694, without examination. Dalrymple served as Physician in Ordinary to the royal household. He died unmarried and was buried in the New Church Aisle, Edinburgh.
