Thomas Alexander Wise

Thomas Alexander Wise was born in Dundee on 13 June 1802 and graduated MD from the University of Edinburgh on 2 August 1824. He served with the Indian Medical Service, founded Hooghly Mohsin College and the Hooghly Imambarah Hospital and worked extensively in India. Wise became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 3 August 1852 and published widely on medicine, including Hindu medical systems.
