Sidney Sonnino

Italian politician Sidney Costantino, Baron Sonnino was born 11 March 1847 to Isacco Saul Sonnino and Georgina Sophia Arnaud Dudley Menhennet. He was Prime Minister of Italy in 1906 and from 1909-1910 and was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1914-1919. He initially favoured upholding the Triple Alliance, but in 1915 supported the Treaty of London, which brought Italy into WWI on the side of the Triple Entente. He represented Italy at the Paris Peace Conference. He was awarded honorary fellowship for the role he played during WWI. He died 24 November 1922.
