Robert Lowis

Robert Lowis received his medical degree from the University of Leiden on 29 October 1707. He was licensed to practise on 7 September 1708 and admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 9 November that same year. Lowis served on the committee responsible for collecting donations and managing the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, nine of whose twelve members were physicians.
