Robert Groat

Robert Groat studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh from 1780 to 1783 and qualified MD in 1783. In the same year he published 'Dissertatio medica inauguralis de hysteria'. In 1789 he corresponded with William Cullen regarding clinical cases. Groat was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1823.
