Robert Cross

Robert Cross trained at the University of Edinburgh, University College London and the University of Heidelberg, obtaining his MD from Edinburgh in 1854. He also completed residence and examinations for an MD at Heidelberg in 1833. He worked as a physician for several organisations, including the Brewer's Court Dispensary, the Prudential Life Assurance Company and the Ladies National Benevolent Institution for Female Idiots, Chiswick. His publications include 'Observations on the prevention, nature and treatment of Asiatic cholera' (1848) and 'Physiology of human nature' (1851).
