Richard Greene

Richard Greene studied at the University of Edinburgh and became a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1868. He specialised in the care of patients in asylums and worked at several institutions across Britain. He published extensively on asylum management and treatment methods, as well as on general medical subjects. He also served as Surgeon-Captain in the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the Northamptonshire Regiment. He retired in 1899 and died in Jersey in 1927.
