Reginald Louis Verley was born circa 1851 in Jamaica. After travelling to Britain, he trained at University College London and spent his career working in hospitals in London. He was a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He served first as Physician at the Hospital for Diseases of the Heart in Soho Square and later as Surgeon at the North West London Hospital for Women. He died in Brighton in 1906.
